Llanbedrog - LL53 7TT
Llanbedrog is a small village on the Lleyn peninsula in Wales, situated on the southern side on the A499 road between Pwllheli and Abersoch, about 15 mins drive from our self-catering farmhouse and barn conversion here at Cae Garw.
The dog-friendly beach is owned by the National Trust - and its sheltered beach has shallow waters and colourful beach huts .
The original tinman statue on this headland was placed there many years ago by a wealthy Cardiff businessman named Solomon Andrews . He was also responsible for building the old tramline in the early 20th Century to connect Pwllheli and Llanbedrog.
The most recent replacement of the statue has been built locally, and was placed there in 2002. (The Tinman is one of many geocache sites on the Lleyn .)
